A year ago I didn't even use a moisturizer every day. Not kidding when I'm saying that I used the most basic face cream you could get from a grocery store, twice a week. And I had never heard about toners and serums haha.
I've gotten questions about how it's possible that I try on new skincare products every week and if I've studied something that has to do with beauty and skincare. Well most certainly NO. I remember once when I was 15 and my mom had gotten me a cleanser. Some months later she was surprise since almost nothing of it had been used so she asked me if I don't use it twice a day (morning and evening - as supposed to). I was as surprised of the question and answered that I maybe use it every second week if I remember.
My husband has gotten me addicted to skincare routines and everything that comes with it. Since I've never had any skin problems or anything that I've had to get special creams and routines for, and since I've literally (before this) never have used anything other than a 5€ cream, skincare has become sort of a hobby for me. And it's actually super addicting. We try at least two new products a week.
Also, I think it's so amazingly relieving that society step by step is starting to give men more options on skincare and beauty routines. Still a couple of years ago it got me so frustrated how 1. men didn't have almost any selection of products 2. how skincare was such a feminine thing and how "macho" guys wasn't supposed to care about that. I know it still is like this in a lot of ways, I'm just saying that it's getting BETTER.
I had a poll in my latest post where I asked you wether I should write more about my beauty routines and which products I'm trying on etc. The majority of you answered yes so I guess I'll show you my routines every now and then.
