Happy new year loves! I'm really excited about this year and about finally going towards spring. But I'm not a big New Year's Eve celebrator so last night I didn't do anything special, or well, I did go out to see some fireworks at 6PM, then I had some (=tons of) chocolate and fell asleep before midnight. Yup, I really did. Probably the first year in my entire life I have fallen asleep before midnight at New Year's. But what can you expect from a pregnant lady?!
What I'm most happy about with the year switching to 2019 is that this is the year my baby is being born(!!). I feel so much closer to my soon-to-be new family member now that it doesn't feel like an eternity left of pregnancy. I'm actually halfway through pregnancy now and I enjoy it more the closer it gets to my due date. To be completely honest, the first trimester was difficult, I didn't enjoy a minute of pregnancy itself during the first 14 weeks - other than the thought of actually getting to meet our baby soon. Now when the bump is bigger and the issues a bit fewer, pregnancy isn't that bad. (The answer to this question will depend on what mood I'm in when you ask me, but right now it's pretty okay.)
What's funny about being pregnant is that all of a sudden I have a strong desire to do things I can't. And these are things I haven't done before pregnancy, but now that I'm not able to, oh my how much I'd like to. For example: sleeping on my stomach, go skiing, start working out (I know you can work out during pregnancy but your body is no where near a state where you can start building muscles etc so since I haven't worked out before pregnancy I'm not in a position where I can just go start lifting weights now) and have an energy drink. So all of that will have to wait until summer.
I hope you have a great start to this year and a happy week. <3 Love.
