What's my biggest problem when it comes to consumption and being environmental friendly? Clothes. I'm such a clothing nerd and I'm a bit addicted to the feeling of getting home a package with new outfits. I went vegan a couple years ago, which still is my strong side when it comes to being green. But right now I'm really striving to become as green as possible when it comes to consumption and fashion.
My biggest goal for next year is to avoid fast fashion as good as possible. Not walk into H&M and buy a new sweater last minute before a dinner, when I feel like I have nothing to wear. Not click home items I know I most likely will use once and then put in the back of my wardrobe. I've already done so much better this autumn compared to what my consumption used to look like, but I still have a long way to go before I'm completely happy about my situation when it comes to this.
Because of this I'm extremely happy to introduce you to Weecos - a sustainable marketplace with almost 300 different brands that all focus on sustainable fashion and design. Weecos have what's best for the environment, people and animals in mind when it comes to clothing. It makes me so happy to see a site like this with amazing pieces of clothing. To choose a site like Weecos over fast fashion is definitely the first step in the right direction when it comes to consumption and sustainability in your wardrobe.
I'm honestly a bit addicted to their site already and I've been scrolling their brands and items this whole morning as well. When you buy sustainable fashion pieces they will last much longer than fast fashion clothes because of the quality. This makes it easier to not throw away clothes after using them for a while and to recycle clothes. Recycling is also a thing I want to become more active doing. I do recycle everything I don't use anymore, but instead of doing it immediately I can have the clothes laying around in the back of my closet for months just because I'm lazy haha.
What are your goals in 2019 when it comes to sustainability and being environmental friendly? <3
