Recently I’ve been posting a lot of pictures and videos of me eating junk food on social media. I actually have been eating junk food almost every single day for the past month. I’ve been getting unbelievably much hate for this. Why?
1. Because people think I ”fake it” and only post this content to promote body positivity.
2. People think it’s bad to promote an ”unhealthy diet”.
3. People think I give an unrealistic image by eating junk food and still being slim.
I want to start by saying that I’m a very black and white person. Sometimes I eat at Mc Donalds everyday for a month and then switch to a more balanced diet for a while. And I kind of jump between these two a lot.
I don’t recommend this to anyone since it’s not that good to eat junk food everyday - not because it can affect your weight in any way, but because the body needs more than fries and burgers. But as you know I’m very open on my social media. We all have flaws and this unbalancy in my eating habits might be one of mine.
Why I ”promote” it on my social media is because I want people to know that it’s OKAY. It’s okay to have two pizzas in a day every once in a while when you feel like it. It’s okay to have Mc Donalds for breakfast when you’re tired of your porridge. It’s okay to not follow the ”ideal healthy balanced diet” 24/7.
So of course my eating habits could be better, a lot of the things I do could be better. But I do think it’s important to show that it’s okay to do these things. And that it’s okay to break the image people have of you, as the person who never eats, and dare to step out of that box and those old things.
Have a lovely Sunday babes. <3
