I read through DM's last night and this one question was if I could show both me and my husband's wedding rings on the blog. Then I fell asleep and I dreamt that I answered the question in a blog post. I actually had to double check both my blog and my drafts when I woke up because I was so sure I had written it haha. BUT NOW I WILL!
"The ring story" as I call it is pretty much one of my favorites when it comes to my marriage. Because it describes us and our relationship so good. So, my ring is my dream ring, the minute I saw it I was like "yup, wearing this for the rest of my life will do". But my husband's ring is not on the same level... At all.
We got married in Helsinki, so when we arrived there in the morning we had some hours to spend before the ceremony. First of all we went to have pizza, since that somehow was our priority that morning. Then I stopped by a hair saloon real quick because it was raining and I didn't want to look like a wet dog. Now after this we had like an hour left so we stopped by a doggy store and just started shopping for our pug Elton. In the meantime we realized that my dear hubby didn't have a ring yet (HAHA - this was less than an hour before the ceremony, just imagine this scenario). Then we ran around trying to find a cute ring that matched with the one I had. We did find a pretty okay one and everything was good with that.
THEN one week later my husband comes home and has no ring on his finger. So I'm like, is it too small or what's up. He then says he lost the ring while doing some weird ass exercise at THE GYM. (Is it even possible to lose anything at the gym? This is not even one of those hardcore three floor gyms, this is like a small apartment sized gym). Anyways, after this we went to the first jewelry store we saw (not even a ring store) and got him a 15€ (!!) ring. I do have a feeling he might lose it again so he'll just have to deal with not wearing one year's salary on his finger.
Now since I'm writing about weddings anyways I'm gonna answer another question regarding this "second wedding" that I a while ago mentioned but haven't explained. SO, sometimes after next year's summer we'll get sealed in a temple, which means our marriage isn't only until death do us apart, but it's eternal. <3 This is probably the most beautiful thing I know and I'm so excited to have this "second wedding" that is more religious than legal, since we this year literally got married in a courthouse.
HAPPY NON-SHOPPING BLACK FRIDAY! <3 (I'm not even gonna leave my apartment today bc I can already feel the annoyance from the sales sign over here)
