The baby: Now it's LESS than 3 months until our planned C-section, but as I've said before it can still change to earlier or a few days later depending on my placenta situation and how the baby is growing. Still crazy that it's getting so close now. Yesterday I ordered home this "baby box" that has all essentials for the first weeks with a newborn. I'm kind of crazy with everything needing to be set and ready this early for the baby's arrival since you never know what's going to happen and when he's going to come home.
The baby weighs about 900g now and is 38cm tall. The baby can open his eyes now and is developing his flavor glands (he can actually taste different spices in the uterus now). Baby boy's kicking is getting so much stronger and now you can see the movement very clearly on the surface of the belly.
Mommy: The back pain is real! Not only the back pain, but it hurts pretty much everywhere haha. The back, neck, shoulders, hips, legs, feet. I didn't think the pain would be so bad when people told me about it but now I know! It's impossible to find a good position and when you find it, it takes about 5 minutes before it gets uncomfortable again heh.
I still have nausea about 1-3 hours each day but it's nothing like before so I'm just happy it's better. Otherwise I'm pretty much thirsty all the time, I feel much more energetic but at the same time I'm getting quite big so my body isn't able to keep up anymore. And because of my placenta praevia I'm recommended to keep my activity level to only a 15 minute walk per day. So I would be lying if I'd say my pregnancy is anywhere near an active and sporty one haha. But I really do feel good and happy! Pregnancy issues is what it is but it's such a small thing compared to the enormous happiness of having a baby, so I'm happy. <3
Other: We're having our next ultrasound scheduled for next week since I need to regularly check my placenta and the baby's growth. I can't wait to see Mini again and see what he looks like now. Next week I'm also deciding the hospital with my midwife and we go through the C-section in more detail. Since I'm giving birth in Stockholm there's about 3-4 hospitals to decide between but I know which one I want and it's also the one closest to our home. Then soon I'll get to go visit the hospital as well and talk through the operation with a doctor which is going to feel good. I'm quite nervous and neither my husband or I are good with operations, blood and stuff like that so it'll be interesting to see which one of us will pass out haha!
