Ok here’s a bunch of food pictures because I’VE GONE 3 MONTHS WITHOUT COUNTING CALORIES!! Wihuu.
People have sent me so many requests if I could do a ”what I eat in a day” post. The thing is that what I eat depends completely on where I am, who I’m with and what my schedule looks like. If I get to choose I usually eat most of my food during the day and only have some snack in the evening. So yesterday I had all of the food you see in the pictures within 4 hours haha... And then in the evening I only had some small snacks (vegan carrot cake and potatoes). I know, I have some weird food habits heh.
But the point is: I haven’t counted calories and I feel such relief and such freedom. I don’t have to plan my days according to how little or much I want to eat. I don’t panick if I have a meal too much. I don’t keep a diary where I write what I eat. 3 months isn’t that much but it feels like a year and it’s definitely the best months in my recovery and in forever over all.
I could literally spend hours just counting calories and planning what I was going to eat and what food I was going to avoid. I do not wanna go back there and neither will I. I spent 5 years counting calories, 5 years!! Imagine the amount of hours I’ve spent on that. When I got home from the eating disorder clinic the first time I got ill I ate well and I gained a healthy relationship to food, but I still couldn’t stop counting calories. So that habit has been on non stop even in between my relapses.
Yesterday we went to Hollywood, Body Energy Club is my favorite place and I had to go there and had my peanut butter chocolate protein smoothie - I recommend this place so so much! Then we had lunch at Veggie Grill (a chain with 100% vegan food, they have everything from bowls to burgers) and in the evening we went to Anaheim with some friends to watch a hockey game. Now we just woke up and are about to go on a breakfast adventure. I do not wanna go home after the weekend, I had forgot what a nice city LA is...
