Okay so a lot of times I've had a really bad conscious when it comes to buying clothes. For me going vegan was easy, minimizing plastic in the household felt easy and everything else has gone pretty smoothly. But to stop buying clothes... Nope. That has been my biggest problem when it comes to doing these environmental friendly things.
It's like an addiction and it just sucks because it's very much for nothing. At home I'm fine going around with the same sweat pants and sweater 7 days a week. But there's something about buying clothes and seeing how I look with my new outfit on that is super addictive. So I won't lie, I probably got home new clothes every other day until last month when I decided this has to stop. I don't think I had even thought about how bad it is for the environment. But then I realized that being vegan and doing all these other things for the environment feels pretty plus minus zero when you consume new clothes non-stop. But now I'm really doing my best and it's going quite okay.
SO GUESS IF I WAS HAPPY when Carlings contacted me a while back and told me they were releasing this digital collection?!! If you're sitting there like what the heck right now, I get you, because that was exactly my reaction as well. Believe it or not, they have released this amazing collection that only exists in the virtual world. We are a generation of crazy consumers when it comes to both clothing and the internet. We've come so far that people actually buy clothes just to take a picture for Instagram just to never wear it ever again.
Here's me in the digital (!!) Intoxica Coat - I still can't believe how cool this whole concept i and I'm so so so happy that things are going this way so that we maybe can start being a better world by not killing animals to eat just because "it tastes good" and not killing animals in the sea by consuming everything that leads to ocean plastic... <3
